Mr Naqui is a Consultant Hand, Wrist & Upper Limb Surgeon. His NHS practice is at Salford Royal Foundation Trust (Hope Hospital), one of the leading teaching hospitals of the University of Manchester. He is the Lead for Clinical Governance & Patient Safety in Trauma & Orthopaedics. He is a Council Member for both the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH) and the Federation of European Surgical Societies of the Hand (FESSH). He is an examiner for the British Hand diploma and European Board Hand Diploma. He is a committee member for the ‘ BSSH Instructional courses in Hand Surgery ‘. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester. Mr Naqui is Chair of the North West Surgical Hand Society and SAS Hand Manchester.

Mr Naqui was honoured to receive the BSSH British Hand Diploma from President Simon Knight at a Ceremony at the Royal College of Surgeons, London. He adds this to the European FESSH Hand Diploma Award received in the summer.
Mr Naqui attended a fantastic evening in London meeting up with all award winners of the BSSH Hand Diploma. They were joined with former examiners of the Diploma. May the British Hand Diplomats continue from strength to strength.
